Heaven
Mitchell's latest obsession is heaven. He talks about my friend Cari and Nana Judy being with Jesus. The big questions are, "why can't they come back from heaven?" and "Will they hug me when I go see them some day?" It's really a difficult concept to comprehend at this age, but it is so sweet that he talks about how much he loves them. He never met Nana Judy (my mom), but Cari had such an impact on his life early on that it helps bring on the conversation about how much Jesus love us and wants all of us to join him in heaven one day.
We have recently started going to a new church and he seems to really like it. It's really helping me adjust because starting over in a new community of people is really hard.

Mitchell's art work! He drew this picture of Cari and then wrote, "I Love You" on the next page. I'm so proud of all of Mitchell's accomplishments this past fall. He is doing really well at school and all the teachers have been wonderful. We had a meeting with the Special Ed staff last week and they all had high praises for how well he is doing and how far he has come academically and socially this fall. Yeah, Mitchell.
