Merry Christmas
OH MY... What a wonderful Christmas we had this year in Indiana. We had a pretty successful eight+ hour drive with minimal screaming in the back seat. Thanks to my brother letting us use the video for our squirming little ones, they seemed to have a good time watching all those fun videos we picked up at the library last week.
It was a short, but sweet visit. Our sweet chariot arrived at Poppa Johnson's on Saturday night at 11:30pm. We headed over to Uncle Paul and Aunt Shirley's in Valpo the next afternoon for the HUGE Johnson Christmas Eve party. The food was awesome, the Christmas story was read and carols were sung. As you can see by the photo, it was a great turn out and all the kids are getting so big! Yes, even Hannah is taller than I am. She is in 6th grade! OH MY... Of course that is the first thing she said to me, because our height was pretty close this past summer and she couldn't wait to tower over my short & stubby frame. Now that's nothing compared to Jared, he is a tower at 6 feet 5 inches. I can even imagine how much more he will grow once he hits high school.
We finished our visit with Grandma Gigi and Jesse. It was fun to watch Mitchell give Jesse knuckles and a high five. Grandma got her speed reading fix with Mitchell on her lap and we all enjoyed Levi's demonstration of his new walking skills.
Finally the road trip home was by far the most peaceful drive I have witnessed in the past 15 months. We stopped in Kenosha for dinner, a stretching break and diaper change. Then right back on the road. It is always good to be home, as our chariot arrived back safe at 12am.

Great idea to add the family photo. Boy, each year there are a few more of us, and, of course, one or two who have left us. It was wonderful seeing you, Kurt, and of course "The Boys!". So much energy and such happy little ones. I hope you are as blessed in 2007 as you were in 2006.
