Our Sweet Princess
Ava's caretaker in Alabama has been so wonderful. She has been calling us every night with an update on her daily schedule. She is drinking 3 oz. every 4 hours, sleeping from 10pm until 2am and then back to sleep until 6am. Ava is very petite, has a small button nose and doesn't like taking a bath. When she is awake, she is very alert and has a little shriek at the end of her cry!
Kurt and I completed all our paperwork on Tuesday night and sent it to Alabama via FedEx. So we were told that the interstate compact went out on Wednesday. The wait for the A-okay between the state of Alabama and Minnesota typically takes 3-5 days. Our guess is that we will get the go-ahead to fly down mid-next week.
Sweet baby Ava is already so blessed! She is healthy, happy, has a great caretaker in Alabama and a wonderful family waiting anxiously for her in Minnesota. I have been VERY busy washing lots of PINK clothes and getting her room all ready for her homecoming...
